Different Jeep Cylinder Heads Types

The cylinder heads are classic and vintage, which first manufacture and use date back to nineteen eighty seven, to be exact. It contain a lot of torques with six inlines. They are still being widely used especially for vintage wheels like the jeep. The four wheel drive commonly contains these units which are used to make the big automotive run better.

Year nineteen ninety model looks the same with the first model but they have a different rear components. If you try to look at the area of the ports, you will see that the holes hold a different shape. Instead of D shape, they are now squarish. The injectors, on the other hand, are a lot smaller than that of the previous model.



The next version came out in the year nineteen ninety six and has been used until ninety nine. This time, it consists of dowel pins, and receiver holes which are found at the head of the cylinder. It has a valve that is like the shape of the hive of bees. An explanation follows that this shape allows a lighter pressure on the valve itself. Additionally, there is a gasket protection and cover.



As for the nineteen ninety nine version, which is the latest, it also contains the two dowel holes. The exhaust ports here are the smallest among the other units in the previous years. This time, the VIP is located close to the spark plug which allows a quicker movement for a huge machine. The coil marks are also added and the bosses alternating with the ports.



They serve the same purpose even if they have been manufactured on different dates. There are just some improvements. Hence, every successive model is like an evolution of the original nineteen eighty seven model. The purpose remains that the these units make the jeep perform better. They make the mechanism on sync.



These different types support also different jeep models and units. There are some ports and exhausts that may not fit with the wiring and automotive system because the models have different hole shapes and sizes.
